Singer-Actress Filed Suit Against Noa Over Tell-All Book...Ms. Lopez has been awarded more than half a million dollars from her first husband over his plan to publish a tell-all book about their marriage.   A court-ordered arbitrator in Los Angeles awarded Lopez $545,000 in April in her breach-of-contract suit against Ojani Noa.

Temblor Hits Near Chatsworth...LOS ANGELES -- A moderate earthquake rattled the Los Angeles area early Thursday, waking residents and knocking some items off shelves and walls.  The magnitude 4.5 temblor struck just before 1 a.m. about 4 miles northwest of Chatsworth, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

Facing a full count against Nationals starter Mike Bacsik in the bottom of the fifth inning, Barry Bonds swung the bat and then watched as his record-breaking 756th home run sailed over the right field wall.  While a cluster of fans scrambled to pick up the milestone ball, the rest of AT&T Park was on its feet cheering for Bonds, whose blast allowed him to surpass Hank Aaron for baseball's all-time home run record.
 
LAPD Probes Possible Sexual Assault at Playboy Mansion

LOS ANGELES  —  Police are investigating a possible sexual assault at Hugh Hefner's famous Playboy Mansion, officials said Wednesday.  The probe was launched Monday, according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement.  "For reasons of law and confidentiality that are critical in such investigations, no additional information will be released," LAPD spokesman Jason Lee said.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The government approved a novel drug Monday to help patients with the AIDS virus who are running out of options, while acknowledging lingering questions about the pills' long-term effects.  Pfizer Inc.'s Selzentry is the first anti-AIDS drug that works by blocking a crucial doorway, called the CCR5 receptor, that the HIV virus often uses to enter white blood cells.
